The agenda for the May meeting of North Claines Parish Council has been published. It is the Annual Parish Council meeting where the roles and responsibilities of the Councillors are agreed.
An applicant for co-option to the Parish Council is also to be considered and if accepted, then the Parish Council will have the maximum number of Councillors. The next election for the Parish Council will be in 2023.
This meeting will approve the position of Councillors within the Parish, including Chairman etc. A new co-option applicant to the Parish Council is also to be considered. If approved then the Parish Council of North Claines will have the maximum numbers of Councillors. The next election for North Claines Parish Council will be in 2023.
There are various works ongoing on the Brum Recreation Ground that mean that the play area will be closed today and until the weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience but the Play area will be much improved when it is finished.

Due to the recent high court judgement that Parish Council meetings must now meet in public, the Parish Council will meet in O’keys Lane Baptist Church on 10 May 2021.
However, with reference to the coronavirus restrictions that are in place until June 21 and as the safe distancing limit in the Church restricts attendance to 10 people, then the public and County/District Councillors must join via ZOOM.

The Council will be meeting from July as normal in the Baptist Church when everyone is welcomed back!
The Parish Council is currently liasing to put a new gate into Bull Meadow for access, this has be approved by the District Council and will be installed by the summer.
Meanwhile all access to the land should ONLY be via the kissing gate on the A38 please
